Gus Clay Shimer, son of Albert Sanford Shimer and Minnie Hygiene Ketrow, was born July 24, 1919 at Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Jan. 20, 1991 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Rowena Louise Wyckoff June 27, 1942 at Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. She was born June 3, 1921 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Arthur Elmer Wyckoff and Essica Gladdis Shehan, and died April 15, 2013 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
