Jean Frances Longfellow, daughter of Frank Tennyson Longfellow and Eula May Hunter, was born Sept. 14, 1918 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died June 9, 1996 in Carrollton, Carroll Co., Missouri. She married 1) Stuart Brainard Melvin, Dec. 5, 1942 at Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri and 2) Merle Archibald Stewart Oct. 23, 1971 at Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska. Stuart Brainard Melvin, son of Curtis Ora Melvin and Wilma Wahneta Stewart, was born July 28, 1916 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died June 29, 1969 in Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa.
