Silas Kelita Mendenhall, son of Benjamin Franklin Mendenhall and Lily Mae Sheley, was born Aug. 2, 1906 in Taylor Co., Iowa and died Nov. 6, 1997 in Bedford, Taylor co., Iowa. He married 1) Helen Faith Ulmer Sept. 25, 1927 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and 2) Martha Ellen Beckett Anderson in 1968. Helen Faith Ulmer was born June 22, 1909 in Waynoka, Woods Co., Oklahoma, daughter of Frank Ulmer and Lucy Douglas, and died May 10, 1967 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
