Marvin Oren Smith, son of William Steven Smith and Blanche Laverna Miller, was born Aug. 13, 1921 in Siam, Taylor Co., Iowa and died June 17, 2005 in Mount Ayr, Ringgold Co., Iowa. He married Martha Jean Safley Mar. 11, 1942 at Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. She was born June 27, 1926 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, adopted daughter of Bert Safley and Lida Irvin, and died Jan. 4, 2002 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
