Civil War Veteran: Captain William Kelly, 24th Iowa Infantry Co. B, Age 21. Residence Tipton, nativity Ohio. Enlisted Aug. 2, 1862, as 2nd Sergeant. Mustered Aug. 29, 1862. Promoted First Sergeant Feb. 11, 1863; First Lieutenant Nov. 6, 1863. Mustered out July 17, 1865.
