He married Rebecca Johnson Dec. 21, 1864 in Marion Co., Iowa.He enlisted in Co. F, 14th Iowa Infantry Regiment Nov. 1, 1861 and was mustered out Nov. 16, 1864 at Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa.
