Andrew Jackson Rankin, son of Isaac N. Rankin and Jane Alcorn, was born Nov. 28, 1837 in Indiana Co., Pennsylvania and died July 17, 1910 west of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Caroline McCoy July 30, 1862 in Des Moines Co., Iowa and 2) Mary Ellen Bradley Feb. 7, 1875. She was born Feb. 13, 1849 in DeKalb Co., Missouri, daughter of Delaney Bradley and Rebecca Ann Means, and died Mar. 7, 1933 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
