A 2 Ia Cav James Watson Nation was born April 14, 1833 in Parke Co., Indiana and died April 20, 1894 near Sharpsburg, Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted Sept. 2, 1861 as a Private in Co. A, 2nd Iowa Cavalry Regiment and was mustered out Oct. 3, 1864 at Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa. Source: Roster & Record of Iowa Soldiers in the War of Rebellion.
