Charles William Jones, Sr., son of Elias William Jones and Ruth Cresap Singleton, was born Jan. 27, 1864 near Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa and died Oct. 19, 1949 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Frances Elizabeth "Fannie" Gray Mar. 24, 1894 at Beverly, Hitchcock Co., Nebraska.
