William was the son of George W Higgins (1843 - 1919)& Sarah Ellen Butrick Higgins (1843 - 1910). He married Anna Nelson on July 3, 1893. They were the parents of Cleo, George, Warren, Lee, Jack, Dick, Vernon, Donald, Minnie May, Dorothy, and an infant who died.
