Alma May Orton, daughter of Matthew Orton and Zoa Shade, was born July 26, 1879 in Benton Twp., near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Oct. 18, 1972 in Council Bluffs, Pottawatomie Co., Iowa. She married Edgar Dean McCormick Mar. 16, 1904 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. See separate entry under his name for a photo of the family plot.
