He married Mary Kirk on October 18, 1882. They were the parents of Agnes, Mary, John, Francis, and a child who died in infancy. Mary Birth: Sep., 1861, Co Tyrone, Ire Death: Apr 21, 1916 Carroll, IA Death was due to blood poisoning, brought on by a splinter which lodged in her hand when she was putting kindling into the stove.
