Fred was the son of Henry Hebbel and Anna Magdalina Claus. He immigrated in 1872. Fred married Sarah Holst on Feb 9, 1882 at Moline, IL. They were the parents of Lena, Mabel, Frieda, Edith, Lillian, and Rose.
