Timothy was the son of Thomas Modeland and Ann Sparks. He married Ann Lundy on 15 Oct 1856 in Brampton, Peel, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of 5 children, 4 still living in 1900: Sarah, Emma, Henry, Harvey, and Ida.

Ann was the daughter of Joseph Lundy and Sarah Currie.

Emma
Birth: Aug. 16, 1859, Canada
Death: Jan. 26, 1890 Glidden, IA
Emma was the daughter of Timothy Modeland and Ann Lundy. She married Harley M Clink on 29 October 1884 in Carroll co, IA. She was a teacher.
