He married 1) Maria Nichols April 23, 1838 (date given in obituary) in Greene Co., Pennsylvania; 2) Rachel Sharpnac, after 1868 and 3) Frances Ann Moore Dale in 1873 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
