Silas Rite Porter, son of Otho Meade Porter and Elizabeth Dusenberry, was born Nov. 24, 1848 in Monroe Co., Ohio and died Feb. 18, 1921 in Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Ruth Ann Bickford Aug. 22, 1877 in Taylor Co., Iowa.
