Harriet McMurtry, daughter of John McMurtry and Mary Williamson, was born Oct. 10, 1824 or 1825 in Harrison Co., Indiana and died Oct. 10, 1877 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married John Pitman April 23, 1843 in Knox Co., Illinois.
