In the bottom right-hand corner, is the stone carver's name and location: ROOT & SON Ottumwa, Ia. (Beniah shares this obelisk with his wife, Elizabeth, their son Austin, and their daughter Olive. Their daughter Lady also has a cenotaph inscription on the east side of this obelisk. Lady is buried with Beniah’s parents, and she also has her own stone there.)
