He married Emeline Dalbey Johnson Nov. 4, 1856 in Clermont Co., Ohio. She was born Sept. 15, 1837 in Frederick Co., Virginia, daughter of John McGinnis Johnson and Elizabeth Dalbey, and died May 14, 1909 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa.
