Born in Germany,occupation of brickmason,later shoemaking in DBQ and in Cascade. Farmed in Worth. He was married in 1860, to Miss Mary Kramer, also a native of Germany; they have ten children living-Nicholas, Peter, Susanna (Mrs. Lehmann), Catherine (Mrs. Nick Feltes), Mary (Mrs. Ernest Gerber), Anna Mary, Jacob, Margaret O., Lena (Mrs. J. Mairose), Appolonia (Mrs. Anton White) and Mary Elizabeth

PETER LEHNHOFF, farmer, Sec. 4; P.O. Worthington; born in Germany Dec. 12, 1832; came to Dubuque Co. in November, 1853; for a time followed the occupation of brickmason, and later that of shoemaking in Dubuque and in Cascade; has been farming at his present place for the past ten years; has 160 acres of land in Sec. 4, Cascade Township, and Secs. 33 and 4, Dodge Township, and 54 acres of Con't.
