He was serving as radio operator and gunner with the 19th tank battalion of the 9th armored division. He was inducted in June, 1944., and was a graduate of the radio operator school at Ft. Knox, Ky. He went overseas in Dec. 1944. son of Norval & Valeen Hertzler Prugh
