He married Mary J. Hankins Jan. 22, 1835 in Fayette Co., Ohio. She was born Nov. 24, 1818 in Fayette Co., Ohio, daughter of David Hankins and Jane Clevenger, and died Feb. 16, 1883 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
