Fannie was the daughter of Thomas Moncrief and Lucy Maynard. In 1850 she came with her parents to LaSalle, Illinois. She married David Leek on July 9, 1859 at Otawa, Illinois. They were the parents of 3 children: Laura, Elmer, and Albert.
