Henry was the son of Thomas Waling & Jane Goodall. He married Betsy Bryant about 1868 in Indiana. They were the parents of Charles, David, and Cora. He married Kate Clews on 17 Dec 1885 in Greene county, Iowa. He married Minerva J. Criteser/Savacool on 26 Oct 1898 in Jefferson, Greene, Iowa.
