Peter was the son of Caspar Jacob Schieffer (1822 - 1907) & Agnes Kneifl Schieffer (1837 - 1930). He married Frances Renner at Menominee, Ne. on Aug 25, 1896. They were the parents of Casmir, Vincent, Richard, Ollie, Agnes, Barbara, and Regina.
