He married Mary Louise or Louisa Dresher Dec. 25, 1883 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Dec. 26, 1860 in Polk Twp., Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Charles Franklin Dresher and Nancy Jane Morris, and died June 2, 1937 west of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
