He married 1) Clementine Wallace Nov. 1866 and 2) Helen Mae Hall July 19, 1874 at Dyersville, Dubuque Co., Iowa. He enlisted Aug. 21, 1862 and served as a private in the 28th New York Battery and was mustered out July 31, 1865. Death notice available Taylor County, Iowa gen web site.
