He grew up in Wacoma, IA and was a butcher and volunteer fireman while he lived there. He moved to California in the sixties. He married Pauline H. Howard (my grandmother) in January 1967. He retired from the US Post Office 2 months before his death. He was an active member in the American Legion. He was loved by all who knew him.
