His full name was Albert Newton Hittle. He was the twin of Alice Lucy Hitttle, who died in Monroe County IA as a child from scalding. Alice is buried at Osborne Cemetery, Lovilia, IA. Newton and his young bride, Hattie (Anderson) Hittle were homesteaders in Kansas and Newton contracted "southern fever" (malaria) and died in Kansas.
