JONAS PARKS CUPPWalnut Grove CemeteryAdams County, IowaJonas Parks Cupp (b. Jun. 19, 1840; d. Aug. 13, 1928) m. Isabelle (Belle) Angus (b. Mar. 27, 1850; d. Oct. 28, 1933). He was Frederick's 20th child and youngest son. After discharge from the Union Army, Jonas moved with his parents to Iowa and lived there until his death. At first a freight horse driver, he ran a six horse team over a 126 mile circuit. After an accident with a runaway his leg had to be amputated; he later worked as a carpenter and handyman. Jonas P. Cupp was county recorder of Adams County in 1875, and was later elected county clerk. Jonas lived with his parents to care for them; later he married the hired nurse and housekeeper, Isabelle. Jonas and Belle are buried along with all four of their children and only daughter-in-law in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Corning, Iowa. The cemetery is at the north end of town, with its entrance just west of the corner of 17th and Grove Streets.
