Thomas's wife was Sarah Caroline Johnson, daughter of William and Nancy Crain Johnson. Where is she buried? There is no mention of her on the stone of Thomas. She came to Iowa with her parents in 1837. Her family owned the first kerosene lamp in Bonaparte, her father bringing a quart of kerosene from Pennsylvania to first use in same. Her home also the home in which the first piano was placed.
