The First Brides Grave, as it is known by, is way up on top of a bluff overlooking the Missouri River and an arduous hike of perhaps a half a mile. The trail winds around, and up and down gullies and hills. It marks the general location of the grave of the reputed first white woman to be married in the general area in 1853. Detail about her is in the memorial named Rosalie Menard Leonais. The monument was erected in 1938 by the Woodbury County Pioneer CLub.
