    Walt's mother was Sarah "Sadie" Thayer. His siblings were Hattie Jones Castle, Maude Jones, Eva Jones Castle, Loretta Tamar Jones Strong, John Edward Jones, Jennie Jones Thomas, Everett William Jones, Opal Jones Lynn, and Harvey Jones. "Reta" could be Loretta Tamar, who usually went by "Tamar"; her maternal grandmother was Tamar Michener.
