Source: Iowa, Select Deaths & Burials. Iowa, Cemetery Records, 1862-1999 give the death date as Mar. 1, 1926. He married Ruth Amanda Sharpnack Jan. 30, 1871 in Pennsylvania. He enlisted as a Private in Co. B, 16th Iowa Infantry Regiment Nov. 15, 1864 and was mustered out July 19, 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky.
