He married Alyene Posten May 20, 1931 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born May 23, 1909 in Holt Twp., north of Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of George Payne Posten and Maude Alice Fleming, and died Oct. 26, 1979 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico.
