Charles Albert Barton, son of John Barton and Sarah Emmeline Doan, was born July 14, 1868 near Mount Pleasant, Henry Co., Iowa and died Sept. 25, 1897 near Fairmont, Fillmore Co., Nebraska. He married Araminta Monahan Nov. 15, 1893 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
