Miranda Akers, daughter of Richard Taylor Akers and Amanda Slyker, was born Aug. 2, 1888 near Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Feb. 15, 1974 in Council Bluffs, Pottawattomie Co., Iowa. She married Fred McKune Mar. 12, 1916 at Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born Sept. 30, 1885 near Wayland, Henry Co., Iowa, son of Levi Decatur McKune and Mary Ann Sample, and died April 28, 1946.
