At the base of that marker, there is a hand holding wheat which might signify prosperity. --------- Marion was born 6 Apr 1889 in Bethlehem Township, Wayne Co., Iowa to Francis I. Pray and Harriet C. Ewers. Two younger siblings: Lawrence Albert and Eula. Alta's parents were Leander Hiles Boyd and Belle Ann Finch. She was 5th of six children, her siblings: Alva Hiles, James Ray, Ross Elsworth, Henry Neal and Alma. Alva died young. Marion and Alta married 26 Oct 1924 in Bloomfield, Davis Co., Iowa. In 1930 they were living in Jefferson township, and in 1940 they were living Allerton township, both in Wayne Co.
