Edward James Hartman, son of Peter Julius Hartman and Catherine Kelly, was born Jan. 12, 1898 in Granitevile,Iron Co., Missouri and died Dec. 16, 1982 in Cedar Falls, Black Hawk Co., Iowa. He married Mabel Jared Aug. 9, 1921 at Maryville, Nodaway Co., Missouri. She was born Dec. 12,1897 in Ross Twp. south of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Robert Bruce Jared and Emily Josephine Scrivner, and died Feb. 20, 1984 in Arlington, Tarrant Co., Texas.
