[Email]Janice M. Gilligan, 69, of 44 Bluff St., died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, of natural causes.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Raphael's Cathedral, where friends may call from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial of Janice's ashes will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. The Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Feb. 19, 1938, in Dubuque, daughter of Clarence J. and Angela V. (Dillon) Gilligan.
She attended St. Raphael's Cathedral and graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in Dubuque.
She was a full-time homemaker and caretaker for her parents. She began working for St. Vincent de Paul, Dubuque, in 1994, and later at the Woodward Riverboat Museum.
Surviving are a sister, Colleen Maxwell, of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Frank (Millie) Gilligan, of Hickory Hills, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Muriel Kotz; and a brother, Clarence "Mickey" Gilligan.
