Harriet J. Acker, daughter of Peter Acker and Elizabeth Darsham, was born Sept. 8, 1850 in New Lexington, Perry Co., Ohio and died Mar. 23, 1916 near Sharpsburg, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was the 2nd wife of William Edward Rutledge whom she married Feb. 6, 1902 in Perry Co., Ohio.
