Berton Earl Powell, son of Robert Massie Powell and Elizabeth Jane Chiles, was born Dec. 26, 1873 in Mercer Co., Illinois and died Jan. 7, 1945 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Lillie Pitman Mar. 26, 1892 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa.
