Sarah Elizabeth Walter, daughter of Eli Walter and Katherine Williams, was born July 2, 1846 near Grafton, Taylor Co., West Virginia and died April 25, 1928 northwest of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married John Marion Woodyard Oct. 19, 1865 in Taylor Co., West Virginia. He was born Jan. 18, 1839 (note discrepancy between date on headstone) near Williamsport, Taylor Co., West Virginia, son of Jesse Colvert Woodyard and Jane Webb, and died April 1, 1906 in Mason Twp., northwest of Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
