Joseph Manley Waterman was born Sept. 16, 1845 at Hanover, Vermont and died May 22, 1906 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted in C. A, 35th Iowa Volunteer Infantry Regiment Aug. 29, 1862 and was mustered out June 8, 1865 at Chattanooga, Tennessee. Source: Roster & Record of Iowa Soldiers in the War of Rebellion.
