George B. Warren, son of Wheeler Warren and Mary Anne Long, was born July 30, 1840 in Athens Co. Ohio, and died March 4, 1932 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. Article in Bedford Times-Republican, July 30, 1931, gives birth place as Henry Co., Iowa. He married Lydia Eleanor Akes Oct. 1, 1863 in Henry Co., Iowa. He enlisted in Co. K, 4th Iowa Cavalry Nov. 25, 1861 and was mustered out Feb. 25, 1862 at Mount Pleasant, Henry Co., Iowa. Source: Roster & Record of Iowa Soldiers in the War of Rebellion.
