Christopher Columbus Mohler, son of John Leonard Mohler and Lucinda Pletcher, was born Nov. 5, 1840 near Zanesville, Muskingum Co., Ohio and died Feb 26, 1936 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Martha Ellen John Sept. 14, 1865 in Taylor Co., Iowa. He enlisted in Co. D, 46th Iowa Infantry Regiment June 10, 1864 and was mustered out Sept. 23, 1864 at Davenport, Scott Co., Iowa.
