Jesse Frederick Bartles, son of Theodore Nicholas Bartles and Talitha Ann Eller, was born Sept. 25, 1871 in Iowa and died Dec. 20, 1914 in Independence Twp., Nodaway Co., Missouri. He married Ozella Celestine Stark Dec. 24, 1893 at Cumberland, Cass Co., Iowa. Iowa, Marriages, 1809-1992 gives the marriage place as Anita, Cass Co., Iowa.
