George Wesley Briggs, son of Randolph Briggs and Eva May Applegate, was born June 18, 1898 near Blockton, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Dec. 21, 1955 in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Mary Short Sept. 25, 1951 at Clarinda, Page Co., Iowa.
