Born in Trean, Germany. Married Ctherine Nieses on 1-29-1889 in St. Paul's Church in Worthington. They couple farmed, 2 miles south of Worthington along Hwy. 136, all their life. Children Marie (Mrs. Carl Neiers); Anna (Mrs. Paul Lehman); Joseph; Andrew; Mathias. Both Andrew & Mathias died in W. W. 1. Amanda (Mrs. Jake Quint); two children died infancy
