William Parker Peterman, son of Jacob Peterman and Mary Ann Magdalena Cornman, was born April 28, 1838 in Crawford Co., Ohio and died July 31, 1920 in Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1)Margaret Jane Kelly Sept. 17, 1865 in Page Co., Iowa and 2) Sarah Elizabeth Westwood Peterman Oct. 18, 1905 at Peoria, Peoria Co., Illinois. Civil War service: He enlisted in Co. F, 23rd Iowa Infantry Regiment Aug. 29, 1862 and was promoted to Full 1st Sergeant July 1, 1865. He was mustered out on July 26, 1865 at Harrisburg, Texas.
